The objective of the Decentralized Forest and Woodland Management Project for Burkina Faso was to promote national development policies and support the definition and implementation of community-based natural resource management processes in thirty-two, mostly rural, communes, to strengthen sustainable local development practices and contribute to reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions from deforestation and woodland degradation.

The project aims to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the income of the unemployed and underemployed, and to increase efficiency and adaptability of the social protection system of the Recipient.The project's public works program plans to pay local communities to restore waterways and forests, rehabilitate riverbanks, and plant mangroves, grasses, and seagrass.

The project aimed to enhance the institutional performance of participating urban local governments to develop and sustain urban infrastructure, services, and local economic development. Project activities included creating urban parks, public spaces, and greenery development projects as part of urban resilience.

The Resilient Landscapes and Livelihoods Project of Ethiopia has the objectives to improve climate resilience, land productivity and carbon storage, and increase access to diversified livelihood activities in selected rural watersheds. This project is comprised of four components: (1) Green infrastructure and resilient livelihoods component will support the restoration of degraded landscapes in selected watersheds and help build resilient livelihoods on this newly productive foundation.

This project improves the management of natural resources and tourism assets in Southern Tanzania while increasing alternative livelihoods for communities near Protected Areas. Activities include infrastructure improvements in Protected Areas, alternative livelihood development, and catchment conservation to ensure sustainable landscape and water management.

The Productive Social Safety Net II Project in Tanzania improves access to income-earning opportunities and socio-economic services for poor households. It includes cash transfers, public works programs, and institutional strengthening to enhance delivery systems and protect human capital development.

The Sustainable Land Management Project in Ethiopia seeks to reduce land degradation and enhance land productivity in targeted watersheds. It supports the scaling up of sustainable land and water management practices, strengthens institutional capacity, improves land tenure security, and promotes knowledge sharing for sustainable natural resource management.

The Sustainable Forest and Landscape Management Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina aims to build capacity among forestry sector stakeholders and demonstrate sustainable forest and land management approaches. Activities include reforestation of fire-affected sites, participatory landscape management, and capacity building to enhance sustainability and resilience of vulnerable forest, scrub, and pasture landscapes.

The MASAF IV project in Malawi strengthens social safety net systems to enhance resilience among poor households. It supports public works for community assets, social cash transfers for vulnerable groups, and capacity building for unified registries and watershed management.

The Social Safety Net Project in Comoros aims to increase access to safety net, nutrition, and community services for poor communities. The project includes cash-for-work opportunities like reforestation, preventive nutrition services, and the establishment of a safety net management system to enhance community resilience and reduce vulnerability to climatic events.
