The development objectives of the Third Phase of the Food Systems Resilience Program for Eastern and Southern Africa Project for Eastern and Southern Africa, Kenya, Comoros, Malawi, Somalia are to increase resilience of food systems and the Recipient’s preparedness for food insecurity in project areas, and, in case of an eligible crisis or emergency, to respond promptly and effectively to it. The Project Development Objective is to design and support the uptake of innovative models for valuing mangrove, seagrass and coralreef ecosystem services with the potential to enhance the sustainability of marine-based enterprise and marine spatial planning in select coastal communities in Indonesia and the Philippines. The project  developed a myriad of tools to help capture the benefits of mangroves, seagrass, and coral reefs , and ensured these would be adopted broadly through workshops and dissemination.
