Nature-Based Solutions for Disaster Risk Management: Coastal Flooding and Erosion Protection

This presentation is part of a suite of communications materials prepared for the World Bank on Nature-based Solutions (NBS). These resources were designed for the World Bank and its network of partners to understand how NBS can enhance their investment portfolio, and how to consider and utilize these solutions. This presentation describes a set of Nature-based Solutions (NBS) that can protect, restore, and manage coastal ecosystems to safeguard communities, and to enhance development project performance. It also discusses the challenges and limitations of these solutions.
