This presentation describes a set of nature-based solutions (NBS) that can protect, restore, and manage watersheds and riverine ecosystems to safeguard communities and enhance development project performance. It also discusses the challenges and limitations of this solution set.
Developing countries and their partners (including multilateral development banks and bilateral agencies) are increasingly utilizing NBS in DRM, as well as in water security, urban sustainability, and other development projects. This report showcases the growing number of NBS projects and offers lessons and insights to help mainstream NBS into development decision making.-
