The development objective of the Flood Management Project for Ethiopia is to strengthen Ethiopia’s institutional capacity for disaster risk management (DRM), and flood risk management in selected basins. The project comprises of four components. The first component, strengthening institutional and coordination capacity for disaster risk management aims to improve the Government of Ethiopia (GoE) DRM by strengthening the institutional capacity of federal-level agencies (including priority sectors) and the coordination between federal and decentralized levels of the government.

The objective of the Enhancing the Climate Resilience of the West Coast Road (WCR) Project for Samoa was to: (i) improve the climate resilience of the West Coast Road; and (ii) enhance local capacity to develop a more climate resilient road network. There were three components to the project, the first component being Improving Climate Resilience of the WCR. This component implemented measures to strengthen the climate resilience of the economically critical WCR, which is a key Government of Samoa (GoS) objective under the Strategic Program for Climate Resilience (SPCR).

The project aims to improve flood resilience and urban infrastructure in Greater Monrovia while enhancing urban planning and management capacity across Liberia. It focuses on flood risk management, resilient infrastructure, community upgrades, and effective solid waste management. A contingency component ensures response readiness to emergencies.

This project aims to reduce flooding impacts in Muang Xay and strengthen Lao PDR's disaster management capacity by enhancing hydrometeorological services, flood protection, and financial planning for disaster resilience. It also provides technical assistance for disaster risk management and includes a contingency mechanism for emergency response.

The project aims to strengthen institutional capacity for landscape restoration and climate resilience in Mali through territorial planning and conflict reduction strategies. It invests in restoring landscapes and ecosystem services while improving local livelihoods by creating income-earning opportunities. Coordination, monitoring, and emergency response mechanisms ensure effective implementation and resilience to climate impacts.

This project aims to strengthen integrated pollution and watershed management in the Qiandao Lake and Xin’an River Basin through investments in climate-smart agriculture, wetland and forestry ecosystem protection, and improved water and wastewater management. It also builds institutional capacity, including piloting Payment for Ecological Services (PES), to ensure the long-term sustainability of landscape and water resource improvements.

This program aims to improve institutional coordination, ecological restoration, and water quality management along the Yangtze River Basin in Hubei Province. It includes ecosystem restoration, sustainable agriculture, and waste management initiatives to support green development and protect water resources, leveraging multi-level government and private sector financing.

The program aims to strengthen food system resilience across seven West African countries through regional integration, improved food crisis prevention mechanisms, and sustainable management of agricultural landscapes. It promotes climate-adaptive food production, trade, and emergency preparedness to address food insecurity while ensuring effective project governance and monitoring

This project strengthens resilience for targeted communities and coastal areas in Western Africa by enhancing regional integration and institutional frameworks for coastal management. It finances investments to mitigate erosion, reduce flood risks, manage pollution, and promote climate-resilient development while supporting coordinated national and regional project implementation.

This project aims to enhance climate resilience in the coastal areas of Western Africa by targeting regional coordination, policy frameworks, and site-specific physical and social investments. It focuses on regional integration by harmonizing coastal governance policies and strengthening institutional collaboration to address resilience challenges. At the national level, the project supports operationalizing integrated coastal zone management plans and land-use strategies for effective management of transboundary ecosystems.
