The development objective of the Forest Sector Modernization and Coastal Resilience Enhancement Project for Vietnam was to improve coastal forest management in the Project Provinces. The project had three technical components in addition to a fourth component on project management, monitoring, and evaluation. The first component modernized the technical know how and approaches used for planning, supplying seedlings, and financing coastal protection forest management and planting.

The development objective of the Nghe An Province’s Vinh City Priority Infrastructure and Urban Resilience Development Project for Vietnam is to reduce flood risk in the core urban area, strengthen capacity for urban resilience management, and support the development of integrated infrastructure in Vinh city. The project comprises of four components.

This project aims to improve infrastructure access and connectivity while reducing flood risks in Vinh Long City's urban core. Key investments include drainage, flood protection, urban roads, resettlement areas, and geospatial platforms to enhance urban climate resilience.

This project improves infrastructure and urban planning in priority areas of participating cities. Investments include roads, sanitation, water supply, public facilities, and resettlement areas. The project also enhances urban resilience through technical assistance and integrated urban planning.

The development objective of the Can Tho Urban Development and Resilience Project for Vietnam is to reduce flood risk in the urban core area, improve connectivity between the city center and the new low risk urban growth areas, and enhance the capacity of city authorities to manage disaster risk in Can Tho city. The project comprises of three components. The first component, flood risk management and environmental sanitation objective is to reduce flood related risks in the urban core of Can Tho.

The Medium Cities Development Project aims to increase access to improved urban infrastructure services in Lao Cai City, Phu Ly City, and Vinh City, Vietnam. Key components include upgrading basic infrastructure, improving water supply and sanitation, constructing roads and bridges, and providing technical support for project management. These initiatives enhance urban services sustainably and efficiently.
