Ningbo Sustainable Urbanization

The Government of China has set aside funds to implement the concept of new urbanization and support Ningbo as one of the pilot municipalities in promoting inclusive cities for low-income people and migrant workers. Specifically, the objective of the Ningbo Sustainable Urbanization Project is to improve the use of urban public space, improve urban mobility, and reduce flood risk in selected counties in Ningbo Municipality. This is to be achieved through the components 1) Urban Regeneration, 2) Urban Transport, 3) Flood Risk Management, and 4) Technical Assistance and Capacity Building. The project will benefit residents of several urban areas of Ningo municipality through improvments in mobility and transportation, employment, enterprise and assets, as well as flood risk management and public health.
