The Project Development Objectives (PDO) of the Argentina Buenos Aires – Mitre Passenger Railway Line Modernization Project are to: (a) improve the reliability and safety of the Mitre Line; and (b) increase accessibility in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires. The proposed project has three components, all three components contribute to climate mitigation and incorporate climate adaptation measures to enhance the resilience of the railway system in Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area.

To improve accessibility in the area of influence of the Belgrano Sur Line in an inclusive, safe, and environmentally sustainable manner; and to respond effectively in case of an Eligible Crisis or Emergency. The project supports the installation of green spaces with rainwater collection.

The development objective of the Espírito Santo Water Security Management Project for Brazil is to: (i) to strengthen the Borrower’s capacity to manage water security risks in a changing climate; (ii) to reduce those risks in selected areas of the Borrower’s territory; and (iii) in case of an eligible crisis or emergency, respond promptly and effectively to it. The project comprises of five components. The project will implement NBS to reduce water security risks in selected river basins and support integrated flood risk management. 

The objectives of the Amazon Sustainable Landscapes Project are to expand the area under legal protection and improve management of Protected Areas, and increase the area under restoration and sustainable management in the Brazilian Amazon. There are four components to the project, the first component being amazon protected areas system. This component aims to expand and consolidate an over-60-million-ha PA system in the Brazilian Amazon and advance ongoing efforts to secure its long-term financial sustainability by capitalizing the ARPA Transition Fund.

The objectives of the Project are to: (a) improve sustainable water resources management, and (b) increase access to sanitation in the Borrower’s territory. The project seeks to improve watershed management, including through reforestation and improved land management.

The development objective of the Boosting Inclusive Growth for Zanzibar : Integrated Development Project for Tanzania is to increase access to improved living conditions and service delivery in targeted areas in Zanzibar and to enhance institutional capacity of the government. The project comprises of four components.

The development objective of the Climate Resilience - Integrated Basin Management Project for Bolivia is to support the implementation of Borrower's strategic program for climate resilience by: (a) strengthening the Borrower's institutional capacity to define the new integrated river basin management approach to climate change adaptation; and (b) supporting its implementation in three pilot sub-basins in the Rio Grande basin. The project improved natural resources management through the implementation of land and water conservation sub-project

The development objective of the Gazetted Forests Management Project for Benin is to improve the integrated management of targeted Gazetted Forests, to increase access of the main consumption cities to fuelwood produced sustainably, and to strengthen selected non-timber forest product value chains for forest-dependent communities. The project aims to promote agroforestry to reduce deforestation and forest degradation, as well as conduct vegetation/reforestation activities to regenerate degraded land.

The development objective of the Bamako Urban Resilience Project for Mali is to improve access to urban waste, sanitation, and water services, increase resilience to floods in selected vulnerable areas of the district of Bamako and targeted neighboring communes, and strengthen urban management capacity. The project comprises of six components.

The development objectives of Asuncion Riverfront Urban Resilience Project for Paraguay are to improve living conditions for targeted vulnerable households and to increase resilience in selected areas in the riverfront of Asunción. This project has four components.
