The development objective of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project for Nigeria is to increase the implementation of sustainable landscape management practices in targeted watersheds in northern Nigeria and strengthen Nigeria’s long-term enabling environment for integrated climate-resilient landscape management. The project comprises of four components. The first component, dryland management will implement integrated watershed management planning and addresses challenges of large-scale watershed degradation in northern Nigeria.

The development objective of Agricultural and Livestock Transformation Project for Niger is to increase agriculture productivity and access to markets for small and medium farmers and agri-food small and medium enterprises in the participating project regions.

The project's global environmental objective (GEO) is the same as the project's development objective (PDO), namely, to improve governance and promote sustainable land use activities in order to reduce deforestation and conserve biodiversity in the Project area. The project will restore forested areas and train communities on forestry management.

The Second Rwanda Urban Development Project aims to improve access to services, enhance resilience, and strengthen urban planning in Kigali and six secondary cities. The project focuses on wetland rehabilitation and Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) to reduce flood risks, enhance biodiversity, and improve resilience.

The Second Regional Economic Development Project aims to improve access to municipal services, strengthen agriculture value chains, and increase SME activities in the Batken region. The project promotes Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) and green infrastructure projects to support climate resilience and sustainable regional development.

The Second Kenya Urban Support Program (KUSP2) aims to strengthen urban institutions' capacity to improve infrastructure delivery, enhance private sector participation, and transition refugee camps into integrated settlements. The project supports the creation of green public spaces through Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), improving climate resilience and urban inclusivity.

The Second Habitat and Urban Land Project aims to promote formal and planned urban growth in selected cities, improve living conditions in precarious settlements, and enhance disaster response. Investments include Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), native urban forestry, green corridors, and linear parks to reduce flooding, mitigate landslide risks, and improve urban environments.

The Second Ethiopia Resilient Landscapes and Livelihoods Project aims to improve climate resilience, land productivity, and carbon storage, and increase access to diversified livelihoods in selected rural watersheds. The project focuses on watershed restoration, climate-smart agriculture, and strengthening institutions and information for better decision-making. It supports sustainable rural development and improved environmental resilience in Ethiopia.

The Sao Tome e Principe Transport Sector Development and Coastal Protection Project aims to enhance connectivity, sustainability, safety, and climate resilience of selected roads. Key activities include training road maintenance community groups to adopt ecosystem-based approaches for stabilization and coastal protection, promoting environmentally sustainable practices.

The Samoa Aviation and Roads Investment Project seeks to improve the climate resilience and safety of aviation and road infrastructure in Samoa. The project incorporates gray-green flood reduction measures, including mangrove restoration, bioswales, rainwater harvesting, and rain gardens, to enhance resilience and mitigate the impact of extreme weather events.
