The development objective of Coastal Adaptation and Resilience Project is to enhance climate adaptation and reduce flood risk in urban and rural areas in the coastal plain of Guyana. This project has three components. 1) The first component, Improving drainage infrastructure, has the following sub-components: (i)Repairs to existing sluices; (ii) Rehabilitation or replacement of drainage infrastructure and channel maintenance/rehabilitation; and (iii) Design and Construction Supervision. Consulting services for condition assessments.

The development objectives of Third Additional Financing for Strengthen Ethiopia’s Adaptive Safety Net Project are (a) to expand geographic coverage and enhance service delivery of Ethiopia’s adaptive rural safety net to improve the well-being of extremely poor and vulnerable households in drought prone communities, and (b) in case of an Eligible Early Response Financing Event (“Eligible ERF Event”), respond promptly and effectively to it. This project has three components.

The project aims to improve the livelihoods and climate resilience of pastoral and agropastoral communities in the lowlands of Ethiopia. The project will implement NBS for flood risk mitigation, as well as wetland protection and maintenance to counter flood and drought risks. 

The objective of the Second Regional Climate Resilience Program for Eastern and Southern Africa Project is to improve resilience to water-related climate shocks in Malawi and in the Eastern and Southern Africa region, and in case of an eligible crisis or emergency, to respond promptly and effectively to it. There are five components to the project, the first component being risk management and climate financing.

The PDO is to increase access to disaster and climate resilient infrastructure and services in selected regions of the Republic of Costa Rica. The project will support grey and grey infrastructure interventions to address fluvial and pluvial flooding. 

The development objective of the Green and Resilient Development Policy Operation for Colombia is to accelerate climate action by: (i) advancing the low-carbon energy transition; (ii) promoting sustainable land use; and (iii) building resilience and adaptation to climate change. This development policy loan (DPL) is fully aligned with core priorities of the new government, which is committed to accelerating the implementation of the low-carbon and resilient development agenda.

The Program Development Objective is to improve land and water resource management and restore degraded ecosystems in selected areas in the Yellow River Basin in Gansu Province and Shandong Province. The project will increase local flood mitigation capacity by restoring wetlands and rivers.

The development objective of the Water Transition Program for Chile is to strengthen the Borrower’s capacity for water resource management and water-related services. The Bank operation (PforR or Program) will support key activities of the Government of Chile (GoC’s) program.

The objective of the Accelerating Results in Education Project for Central African Republic is to improve access to quality basic education and strengthen capacity for sector management. There are four components to the project, the first component being Increase access to improved learning environments. This component includes four subcomponents: targeted schooling infrastructure, targeted schooling infrastructure, supporting learning opportunities for out-of-school children, and school grant and girls’ education initiative. The second component is the improve teaching quality.

The objective of the Water Security Improvement Project is to build the foundation for improved water security in Cambodia and increase agricultural productivity in Selected River Basins and to provide an immediate and effective response in case of an Eligible Crisis or Emergency. There are five components to the project, the first component being improve water resources planning and institutions. This component will finance activities that contribute to laying the groundwork for improved water resources management in Cambodia.
