The objective of the Water Security Improvement Project is to build the foundation for improved water security in Cambodia and increase agricultural productivity in Selected River Basins and to provide an immediate and effective response in case of an Eligible Crisis or Emergency. There are five components to the project, the first component being improve water resources planning and institutions. This component will finance activities that contribute to laying the groundwork for improved water resources management in Cambodia.

The Project Development Objective is to improve protected areas management, and to promote ecotourism
opportunities and non-timber forest product value chains in the Cardamom Mountains-Tonle Sap landscape. The project aims to sustain and increase forest cover which will reduce soil erosion, maintain or improve water quality for downstream users, provide protection to farms and villages located in floodprone areas, reduce GHG emissions, and protect critical natural habitats. 

The development objective of the Second Southeast Asia Disaster Risk Management Project for Cambodia is to improve the disaster and climate resilience of flood-damaged rural roads in target areas, improve the capacity of the Government to prepare for and respond to emergencies, and provide immediate and effective response in case of an eligible crisis or emergency. The project comprises of four components.

The Project Development Objective is to improve climate resilient rural road connectivity in select provinces. The project used bioengineering and other green interventions to make roads resilient to climate change.

The Project Development Objective (PDO) is to improve climate resilient road access to economic
and human development facilities in targeted provinces. The project will integrate bioengineering solutions such as grasses and tree planting to improve road slope protection.
