The Moldova Agriculture Competitiveness Project aims to enhance the competitiveness of the agro-food sector by modernizing the food safety management system, facilitating market access for farmers, and mainstreaming sustainable land management practices. The project focuses on enhancing land productivity through soil conservation and rehabilitation of anti-erosion shelterbelts to promote agro-environmental sustainability.

The Mauritania Sustainable Landscape Management Project aims to strengthen sustainable landscape management in productive ecosystems. Key interventions include vegetation enrichment, construction of stone bunds, and zai pits to enhance soil productivity and reduce land degradation, contributing to ecosystem resilience.

The Maputo Urban Transformation Project aims to strengthen urban management, promote sustainable economic growth, and enhance resilience in Maputo municipality. Key components include infrastructure upgrades, improved drainage systems, and capacity building for urban planning. These initiatives focus on building resilience and fostering economic opportunities.

The Mangroves for Coastal Resilience Project aims to enhance the resilience of coastal ecosystems and communities by restoring and conserving mangroves. The project includes components for mangrove afforestation, supporting sustainable livelihoods, and strengthening integrated coastal management. These efforts reduce disaster risk, mitigate coastal flooding, and protect biodiversity.

The Malawi Floods Emergency Recovery Project aims to sustainably restore agricultural livelihoods, reconstruct critical public infrastructure to improved standards in the flood-affected districts, and improve the Government of Malawi’s disaster response and recovery capacities. The project includes components for livelihoods restoration, infrastructure rehabilitation, disaster resilience promotion, and program management.

The objective of this pilot-scale project is to 1) to strengthen the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Housing and Environment and local councils in planning and demonstration of community based wetland management, and 2) to implement a coral reef monitoring system. The Government of the Maldives will achieve this through the components Wetland Conservation and Water Resources Management, Coral Reef Monitoring and supporting project management, financed under the multi-donor Climate Change Trust Fund.

Investments will include a variety of green infrastructure measures, sustainable and climate-smart agricultural practices, and livelihoods diversification. Green infrastructure will be designed in conjunction with gray infrastructure to optimize the functionality, cost-effectiveness, and resilience of the integrated natural and built system.

The Government of Ghana aims to demonstrate improved sustainable land and water management (SLWM) practices to reduce land degradation and maintain biodiversity in selected microwatersheds and build capacity for upscaling in northern Ghana. The project combines soft and hard investments at the community level with planning activities.

The project will support the design nd pilot implementation of the Community Adaptation Fund (CAF) in the Gicumbi District. This includes piloting landscape restoration in the Gicumbi District through the CAF on investments such as catchment restoration and rehabilitation through reforestation, silvo-pastoralism and other watershed protection measures that have demonstrated community resilience to climate change. The project will also support the development of flagship programs such as Water Security for All Flagship Program.

The project has been restructured to include nature-based solutions, which aligns with their NDC ambitions. They will use NBS relating to forests, conservation, and other to meet PDO. The work will be implemented by the National Disaster Risk Management Fund. It will also have community resilience component.
